Fundraising

Each year the PTFA seeks to help departments within the school by providing financial assistance to purchase essential equipment to enhance the education of pupils of all ages and abilities at TBSHS. Details on how funds have been allocated can be seen on the Spending tab.

The PTFA raises money through a variety of popular social events such as quiz nights, bingo evenings and the Candlelit Supper. Additional funds are raised from the 300 Club, the Giving Machine, second hand uniform sales and providing refreshments at open events at TBSHS.

The Black and Gold Quiz Evening on 3rd March 2023 was another huge success, 185 tickets were sold to twenty-four teams made up of parents and friends of The Bishop's Stortford High School and staff members, including last year’s victors the History Department.

After eight fiendish rounds, including the music round where the connection on the songs was places around the world, the winning team for 2023 was the Mathematics Department team "Pure Maths". A profit of £3516.71 was generated from this fabulous evening.

The PTFA would like to thank the many parents who donated prizes and also all the businesses who supported the evening by providing raffle prizes. These include The Belgian Brewer, The Harvest Moon, Bishop's Stortford Reflexology & Wellbeing, The Little Arts Workshop, All About You, Holisticare and SAM Music Service.

300 Club

For just £2 per month you can have the chance to win one of the PTFA cash prizes. PTFA have a monthly prize draw of £100 and in December there is a ‘superdraw’ with 3 prizes worth a total of £300. If you have not already signed up and require further information please contact: PTFA Committee
