Fundraising

Each year the PTFA seeks to help departments within the school by providing financial assistance to purchase essential equipment to enhance the education of pupils of all ages and abilities at TBSHS. Details on how funds have been allocated can be seen on the Spending tab.

The PTFA raises money through a variety of popular social events such as quiz nights, bingo evenings and the Candlelit Supper. Additional funds are raised from the 300 Club, the Giving Machine, second hand uniform sales and providing refreshments at open events at TBSHS.

The Black and Gold Quiz Night on 15th March 2024 saw 23 teams take part across ten fiendish rounds and Dingbats. The BSHS teacher team, Quizzy Quizlan, who previously won in 2022, came out the victors and almost £3000 was raised.

The PTFA would like to thank all the businesses who supported the evening by providing raffle prizes. These include Pircio, Stock Florist, The Belgian Brewer, Pasticceria Di Leo, Hiens Nails & Lashes, Frank Adams Driving Instructor, Bishop's Stortford Reflexology & Wellbeing, Despina at Travel By Inspire, The Harvest Moon, Binwash, Boss Nails and Beauty, Crazy Razor and Fitness with Lesley Grey.

300 Club

For just £2 per month you can have the chance to win one of the PTFA cash prizes. PTFA have a monthly prize draw of £100 and in December there is a ‘superdraw’ with 3 prizes worth a total of £300. If you have not already signed up and require further information please contact: PTFA Committee
