Fundraising
Each year the PTFA seeks to help departments within the school by providing financial assistance to purchase essential equipment to enhance the education of pupils of all ages and abilities at TBSHS. Details on how funds have been allocated can be seen on the Spending tab.
The PTFA raises money through a variety of popular social events such as quiz nights and the Candlelit Supper. Additional funds are raised from the 300 Club, Give As You Live, second hand uniform sales and providing refreshments at events held by TBSHS.
After the amazing success of The Candlelit Supper in December 2024, the Black and Gold Quiz Night on 14th March 2025 saw 23 teams take part across ten fiendish rounds devised by Helen Midgely, from Tees Law, who generously donated her time. The BSHS teacher Maths team were the victors and over £3000 was raised.
The PTFA would like to thank all the businesses who supported the evening by providing raffle prizes. These include Laura Kirby Adi, Despina at Travel By Inspire, Cambridge Contours, Jenny Latham, Tant Labs, Julia Neesam, Pircio, Ronis, Bishop's Stortford Reflexology & Wellbeing, The Harvest Moon, GolfWorld, Cammas Hall, Waitrose, Olyra Greek Bakehouse, Binwash, Group 1 Stansted Mini, MARS, Mint Velvet and The Entertainer as well as the many school families who donated too.
